We're Hiring: STEM Facilitator
Location: Kigali, Rwanda (Hybrid: minimum 2 days/week in office + regular field travel outside Kigali)
Contract Type: Full-Time │ 1-Year Contract (Renewable)

Working Hours: 40 hours/week (including weekend school visits)
Reports To: Executive Director & Managing Director
Probation: 3 months

We are an organization led by women, committed to providing a safe and supportive space for girls to explore STEM.
The Role
Building on the successful delivery of the Step into STEM program across 7 schools in Rwanda, we are looking for a passionate and hands-on STEM Facilitator to lead the on-the-ground implementation and scale-up of the program to an additional 10 schools. This is a lead delivery role responsible for facilitating STEM clubs, conducting weekly school visits, supporting teacher training, operational logistics, and alumni engagement across partner schools in Rwanda.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate and lead the delivery of STEM club sessions, including weekly school visits, hands-on learning, and Project-Based Learning (PBL) activities
Support the establishment and integration of STEM clubs within partner schools
Deliver and support teacher training, curriculum implementation, and ongoing coaching
Lead recruitment and onboarding of schools, participants, teachers, and interns, ensuring inclusive participation
Build and maintain productive relationships with schools, partners, and local communities
Support internships, mentorship, career guidance, and alumni engagement activities
Coordinate and support program events, including showcases and graduation ceremonies
Contribute to monitoring
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Education, or a related field
Proven experience facilitating youth or STEM programs, ideally in a school or community setting
Experience with Project-Based Learning (PBL) or hands-on, experiential pedagogy
Excellent organizational and logistics management skills, with the ability to manage multiple school programmes simultaneously
Strong reporting and data management skills, with attention to accuracy and deadlines
Experience working with marginalized groups, including refugees and persons with disabilities, is an advantage
Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders, including schools, teachers, parents, and local communities
Willingness and ability to travel regularly outside Kigali for field visits
Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda
